Marc Sawyer was a perfect four for four and he drove in four runs in Boise’s 11-9 win over Yakima. Steven Clevenger also had a nice game and he went four for five with three doubles, two runs and two RBIs.
Christopher Huseby picked up the win despite a rough start. He improved to 1-2 and he gave up four runs on four hits and one walk with two strikeouts in five innings of work.
Boise went down 5-0 and while they stormed back late and came within a run when they scored three in the ninth, they fell short and took the loss. Jose Made was the hitting star in the 5-4 loss. He went three for three with a double, a run and an RBI.
Christopher Huseby took the loss and he fell to 0-1 on the season. He gave up four runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks with one strikeout.
