Peoria Runs Up the Score on Lugnuts

The Chiefs blew out the Lugnuts 14-3 and while just about everyone was a hitting star, James Adduci had a team hit four hits.  He went four for four with two RBIs and two runs.  Leon Johnson scored three times and Darwin Barney drove in three.

Jacob Renshaw improved to 12-7 on the season with the win.  He gave up one run on six hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.

Chiefs Edge Quad Cities 6-5

Ryne Malone scored on Blake Lalli in the bottom of the ninth inning to win it for the Chiefs in their 6-5 in over Quad Cities.  Alessandro Maestri picked up the win and he improved to 4-3 on the season.  He threw two perfect innings to close the game out.

James Adduci had a nice day at the plate.  He went three for four with an RBI.

James Adduci Hits Chiefs to Win Over Beloit

James Adduci had a great day at the plate in the Chiefs 9-1 win over Beloit.  He went one for three with a double, a walk, two RBIs and a run.  Ryne Malone went two for four with two runs.

Jeremy Papelbon picked up the win and he improved to 3-2 on the season.  He gave up two hits with four strikeouts in three innings of relief.

Robert Hernandez Throws Five Shutout Innings In Chiefs Win

Robert Hernandez improved to 1-1 on the season with a nice start in the Chiefs 7-2 win.  He gave up three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five shutout innings.

Ryne Malone hit a two run homer in the win.  James Adduci went three for four with a double, a run and an RBI.

Chiefs Get Great Pitching in Doubleheader Sweep Over Wisconsin

The Chiefs swept Wisconsin and held the opposition to just one run between the two wins.  In the first game, Jacob Renshaw threw five shutout innings and he improved to 4-2 on the season.  James Adduci went two for three and he drove in two of the seven runs in the 7-0 win.

In the second game, the Chiefs won 4-1 behind a nice outing by Marco Carrillo.  He threw five shutout innings as well and he improved to 1-1 on the season.  Yusuf Carter doubled, scored a run and he drove in two in the win.

Yusuf Carter Powers Chiefs to Win Over Lugnuts

Yusuf Carter’s two run homer played a big part in the Chiefs 7-5 win over the Lugnuts.  James Adduci also had a nice game.  He went three for four and he scored two runs.

Jose Pina wasn’t great, but he picked up his first win of the season.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk with one strikeout.

Chiefs Lose to Lugnuts In Eleven Innings

Oscar Bernard gave up a two run homer in the top of the eleventh as the Chiefs lost to the Lugnuts 5-3.  Chris Shaver also had an okay start and he gave up two runs on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Russell Canzier finished three for five and he drove in a run.  James Adduci also had three hits in the game.

Chiefs Split Doubleheader With Wisconsin

The Chiefs and Rattlers each took in a game in today’s doubleheader.  In the first game, the Chiefs got the bats going and won 8-5.  Wellington Castillo went three for three with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and a run while Joshua Lansford had two hits, two runs and two RBIs.  Jacob Renshaw was hit hard but he improved to 3-0.  He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.

Game two didn’t go quite as well and the Chiefs lost 5-3 in eight innings.  Jeremy Papelbon gave up the walk off two run homer while Marco Carrillo had a rough start and didn’t even finish the fourth inning.  Russell Canzier hit a solo homerun and James Adduci went two for four with a double and an RBI.
