Jacob Renshaw improved to 7-4 on the season with five shutout innings in the Chiefs 5-2 win over Wisconsin. He gave up four hits and four walks with eight strikeouts.
Joshua Lansford went two for four with a double and an RBI. Jonathan Mota hit a solo homerun in the win.
Brad Clipp threw four solid innings of relief in the Chiefs 3-2 win over Clinton. He gave up just one run on three hits and he struck out six and he improved to 1-0 on the season.
Jonathan Mota was the hitting star. He went four for five with two doubles and an RBI. Yusuf Carter hit a solo homerun and he scored a run in the win.
Oscar Bernard gave up two eleventh inning runs in the Chiefs 8-7 loss to Clinton. Marco Carrillo didn’t pitch all that well in his start. He went six runs in four innings of work.

Jonathan Mota had a big game at the plate in the Chief’s 6-4 win over Beloit. He went two for four with a big three run homer. Russell Canzier also helped out the cause with a two run homer of his own.

Jonathan Mota scored on a sac. fly by Russ Canzier in the top of the ninth inning to beat Cedar Rapids 4-3. Canzier finished the game with two RBIs and Jonathan Mota went three for five with a run.
Jeremy Papelbon picked up the win with three nice innings of relief. He gave up one hit and one walk and he struck out three in the win.
Jacob Renshaw took a beating in the Chiefs 8-2 loss to Lansing. He gave up six runs on five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. The loss drops his record to 3-2 on the season.
Joshua Lansford singed and he drove in both of the runs. Jonathan Mota went two for four.
The Chiefs couldn’t get the sticks going and they were held to five hits in a 1-0 shutout loss. Jonathan Mota was the hitting star and he went two for three with a double.
Chris Shaver threw four shutout innings in his start but it was the pen that gave up the game winner. Charles Platt took the loss and he gave up one run on four hits and a walk in 2 1/3 relief innings.
William Muldowney improved to 2-1 on the season with a quality start. He gave up two unearned run on six hits with three strikeouts in six innings of work.
Jonathan Mota singled and he drove in two runs in the 4-2 win. Alfred Joseph singled twice and scored two runs.
